Explore all forms of Irish Dance, including solo percussive styles and group styles like Ceili and Set Dancing. Lessons can be stand alone workshops or regular studio based classes with the opportunity for showcases.

Playing for Dancers

Playing for a dancer is a rewarding and creative experience that will inevitably come up in a musician's path and this workshop is here to prepare you for it. Whether it's for a ceili or for a fellow session-goer that may want to pull out a step, this class will walk you through what to expect with tunes, tempo, rhythm, and good practice. There will be a mix of demonstration, presentation, and prompted practice that will prepare you to use your new skills at that night’s session!

Tech for Trad

In this workshop, we will discuss smartphone apps and equipment for learning and sharing Irish traditional music and dance, as well as how to get the best out of social media for collaboration and keeping up with virtual trad events. This class is a stepping stone for anyone who wants to maximize productivity and creativity on their tech devices, and an especially safe place for late adapters to tech and those just being introduced to the traditional music and dance world.
